Publication Ethics and Research Integrity

At Journivision, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, research integrity, and scholarly responsibility. Ethical conduct, transparency, and trust underpin our publishing practices and guide every stage of the editorial and peer review process. Journivision adheres to the principles and best-practice guidelines issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), as well as recommendations from recognised international bodies such as the ICMJE, WAME, and relevant reporting and ethical frameworks. These standards apply equally to editors, reviewers, authors, and all members of the editorial team.

Commitment to Ethical Publishing

All manuscripts submitted to Journivision go through a thorough editorial and peer review process designed to ensure:

• Originality and academic merit
• Methodological robustness and data integrity
• Ethical compliance in research involving humans, animals, or sensitive data
• Transparency regarding authorship, funding, and conflicts of interest

Journivision enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy towards unethical practices, including but not limited to plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, image manipulation, duplicate submission, redundant publication, and improper authorship practices.

Screening, Verification, and Oversight

To protect the integrity of the scholarly record, Journivision uses recognised similarity-checking tools and editorial verification procedures. Editorial staff and editors thoroughly review submissions for ethical compliance, authorship validity, and adherence to journal policies both before and during peer review. Any concerns regarding originality, ethical approval, data transparency, or authorship are examined in accordance with COPE flowcharts and recommendations. Manuscripts that do not meet ethical standards may be rejected, corrected, or retracted, depending on the severity and nature of the issue.

Responsibilities of Stakeholders

• Authors must ensure their work is original, accurately reported, ethically conducted, and correctly cited, with full disclosure of funding sources and conflicts of interest.
• Reviewers are expected to deliver objective, confidential, and constructive assessments, disclose conflicts of interest, and abstain from using unpublished material for personal gain.
• Editors and Guest Editors must act impartially, maintain confidentiality, manage conflicts of interest transparently, and make decisions solely based on academic merit and ethical compliance.

Handling Ethical Concerns and Misconduct

When potential ethical issues arise, Journivision encourages open, fair, and confidential communication among all relevant parties, including authors, editors, reviewers, and, where appropriate, affiliated institutions or funding bodies. Investigations are conducted carefully and proportionately, in accordance with COPE guidance.

If necessary, Journivision may issue corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions to maintain the accuracy and credibility of the scholarly record. Legal or institutional advice may be sought in complex or severe cases.
